Vietnamese BBQ Belly Pork

Sweet soy and garlicky belly pork grilled until sizzling and served with fresh rice noodles and mint salad. Can also be eaten with crusty baguette (Banh Mi) or jasmine rice!



Vietnamese BBQ Belly Pork Skewers

These are great summer dishes that you can grill either under the grill or on a BBQ, eaten with fresh rice noodles and salad, it’s a quick and healthy way to dish up some traditional Vietnamese favourites - Bun Thit Nuong.





Marindade: Two tablespoons of soy sauce, one tablespoon oyster sauce, 1/2 tsp brown sugar, 2 tsp of dark soy sauce, a few dashes of sunflower or sesame oil and 4 cloves of finely chopped garlic.

Slice up some belly pork, and add to the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Make sure all the slices are evenly coated before skewering with bamboo sticks. At this point you can either cover and cook when ready, or leave for 10 mins and stick straight under the grill. Remember to periodically check the skewers for brownness, basting the skewers in the juices that ran off the meat when cooking making sure that all the flavours are well distributed. Grill for 30-40 mins or until golden and sizzling. Serve with warm rice noodles and salad
